It's always good to be home. When Seville hits over 100 degrees, all I can think about is the cool early summer of Milwaukee. This summer I was all over the place. We sister dated at our favorite places and my new visa took me to Chicago, where I took advantage of the trip to do some sight seeing. We continued old traditions, such as Summerfest and Strawberry fest. We also started some new traditions like hikes along the lake, world cups and the Renaissance Fair.
Overall, it was a summer for the books. I can't believe I leave to go back to Spain on Monday. Don't get me wrong, I'm ready. I've missed my friends and I have some really fun trips lined up. Looking to hit the ground running, find an apartment and get this new school year started.

Nine months goes by so quickly. This year was different from the last one. Seville was my home. The little things that got me excited last year were normal this year, so I decided to take some time off blogging and simply live in a city that felt like it was mine. Here are the highlights. In october I started off the school year in the best way possible on the beaches of Castelldefels.
Winter break in Brighton and Milwaukee.
Weekend trip to Granada.
From time to time I like to remind myself how cool Seville is. This is where they filmed some of Game of Thrones. It's a beautiful place.
Tournament winning team.
My favorite class. Not that I choose favorites.
Spring Break in Brighton and London.
Feria de Abril.
When it started getting unbearably hot we started spending weekends outside of the city. We headed to Málaga to hike, to Cáceres for a cheese fair and to San Nicolás for more hiking and sunbathing.
Celebrating the end of academy classes.
These good byes were tough, but you can bet I'll be visiting.

We did so much better this time. It helped that we weren't catching a movie so we had as much time as we wanted to eat and take pictures. We decided to live on the edge and eat at a new restaurant this time. We'd seen the Stilt House each time we visited Cedarburg and it was time to try it out. We're big fans. Their beer list was fantastic, with a great selection of micro breweries. We ordered chips and guacamole and sliders to share. My sister and I were both very impressed by the presentation. It's all about whether the food looks good on instagram, right? We plan on taking the parents over for a family dinner sometime because it's that good. My one complaint would be that I would only want to eat outside, the inside is pretty dark and unfinished.

Last week my sister, my mom and I went on a lady date to the Bookworm Gardens. It is a donation based garden that brings children's books to life through art. There is everything from Little House on the Prairie to Winnie the Pooh. We ate our lunch in The Secret Garden and then headed out to sit by The Giving Tree. We spent the morning running from book to book, even taking time to read a couple out loud.
