It was Christmas Day. Everything was closed, so Dad and I got a slow start to our day. We strolled around, ate fast food pizza and did what we could to get in our Jewish history. We stopped by a synagogue which had armed guards at both entrances, so that was disconcerting. We also walked around the former Jewish Ghetto. It is now a lovely residential area with locally owned artisanal shops. We ended the day with my least favorite meal of Italy (poor service and okay food).
